What changed in the October 12 Texas volleyball ranking?

Texas fell three places from No. 9 to No. 12, with 806 poll points and an 8–6 record at the time of voting. Between those polls, Texas won in four sets at Arkansas on October 9 and lost in three at Oklahoma on October 11. Those are the documented results; individual voters do not provide a public match-by-match explanation for their ballots.

Among the SEC teams in the Top 25, Kentucky (No. 4), Florida (No. 7) and Tennessee (No. 9) sit ahead of Texas; Texas A&M is No. 19 and Vanderbilt is No. 24. National poll position is separate from the SEC record; Texas was 4–2 in conference matches through October 11.

How to use this table

“Record” is each school's record when the October 12 poll was published, while “Prev” shows its October 5 position. A rise or fall describes movement between two polls, not a change in NCAA Tournament seeding. Nebraska received all 63 first-place votes and remained No. 1. The AVCA's published poll is the source for the positions, points and records.
